SANTIKOS announces RENOVATIONS TO ITS PALLADIUM IMAX AND MAYAN PALACE
Santikos Entertainment today announced that it has begun renovations on its Palladium IMAX and Mayan Palace theatres. Improvements for both theatres will include reclined seating, an upgraded lobby, expanded food and beverage options, and a signature VIP experience to be added to the Palladium.
These upgrades reflect a mission-driven commitment to providing a world-class movie going experience across San Antonio. “We have a mission to uphold the high theatre standards set by John Santikos decades ago,” said Santikos Entertainment CEO, David Holmes. “Reclined seating and a great menu are now the standard. The lobby upgrades at both theatres and our own VIP service at Palladium, will continue to uphold the unparalleled innovation and design of Santikos Theatres.”
Renovations at Palladium IMAX began on July 5th with four auditoriums and will expand into other auditoriums in the coming months. Renovations at Mayan Palace will begin August 7th. Both projects are on a timeline to finish by the busy holiday movie season.
“The Palladium has been a cornerstone of excellence in San Antonio for over ten years, and it will continue to be a flagship moving forward,” said Holmes. “Once known as Century South, the Mayan Palace has been a southside mainstay for decades. These renovations will breathe new life into the buildings that have provided entertainment for generations of San Antonians.”
The Palladium IMAX theatre will remain open throughout construction. There will a short closure time for Mayan Palace at undetermined dates.
