We are the only theater in the world administering a gold standard Covid-19 PCR test to all employees on a weekly basis. We believe one of the best benefits we can provide our employees is this asymptomatic testing, free of charge, in addition to our current safety and health protocols at all Santikos locations.

Community Labs, LLC identifies asymptomatic silent spreaders of COVID-19 by providing 24-hour test results, scale, accuracy, and a less invasive test by swabbing the front of the nostril. Standard Safety Procedures

These are the standard procedures we are committed to throughout each phase of reopening Santikos theaters.

WASH YOUR HANDS: All team members must properly and frequently wash their hands at a minimum of once every hour. Hands must be washed between each change of gloves. We advise all of our guests to frequently and thoroughly wash their hands while refraining from touching their face.

DISINFECT HIGH-CONTACT SURFACES: High-contact surfaces (door handles, counter tops, faucets, kiosks, railings, etc.) must be wiped down with a medical-grade sanitizing agent at a minimum of once every 30 minutes. We will also maintain nightly deep cleaning of all auditoriums, bathrooms and high-traffic areas.

SAFE SOCIAL-DISTANCING: All team members and guests must practice and maintain appropriate physical distancing as recommended by the CDC and local health authorities.

REMAIN AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK: All team members will be screened and have to give a verbal disclosure they are not sick and have not been in close contact with anyone experiencing signs of sickness.

WEAR PROPER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: All team members must wear the required protective equipment and adhere to all CDC recommended standards of use of such equipment at all times. Protective equipment will be provided by Santikos at no cost to team members.

CASH EXCHANGE: We are implementing a “Cash Only” line and specifically training team members how to properly handle cash. Cash will only be accepted in exchange for gift cards. The gift card can then be redeemed at concession, bar and other amenities as we reopen. It is exact change only. If you come in with a $50 bill you can only get a $50 gift card. We will not be giving change at all, no exceptions.


Safety Procedures

  • Auditoriums are now operating at 50% capacity.
  • All guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets through our app or website in order to maintain contactless payment methods.
  • There is a requirement of 6 feet between parties in a row.
  • Seats, armrests, cupholders and tray tables will be properly disinfected between every screening.


Safety Procedures

  • There will not be food servers at this time in order to reduce person to person contact.
  • Condiments are self serve once again. Packets will be set out for guests. Once packets have run out, the self serve machines will be available.
  • Team members have been trained in proper food-handling protocols in order to reduce person to person contact.
  • Palladium has resumed its full menu. Mayan, Casa Blanca and Cibolo still have a limited menu, however, it has expanded its options and pricing has returned to normal.
  • Paper menus will be provided at Palladium.
  • Safe social distancing stickers have been placed on the ground to ensure that guests are maintaining a healthy distance of at least 6-feet apart while waiting in lines.
  • You can now get refills on your popcorn and drinks. When refilling drinks, guests are highly encouraged to wear plastic gloves provided by the theater to help prevent the spread of germs.
  • Grab 'n' Go candy and bottled water are now available.
  • We will no longer be accepting refillable mugs at our bars due to the safety of our staff and customers. Any previously bought Santikos mugs will no longer be accepted or refilled at the bar.
  • The Mezz at Palladium will be closed.
  • The Dine-In Auditoriums at Casa Blanca will no longer provide food service.
  • Our bars will be open with limited options.


Safety Procedures

Operating Standards:

  1. We will only be operating 8 lanes, please no more than 6 guests to a lane.

  2. Depending on which venue you attend, we are providing anywhere from 8 to 11 feet of spacing between occupied lanes.
  3. Hand sanitizer is readily available.

  4. Bowling ball racks are closed for guest use. Bowling balls are removed and secured in a separate room. All ball returns will be pre-stocked with two balls of each size (6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 pound) and covered with a plastic cover to preserve the sanitation of equipment.

  5. Guests may use the lane service buttons to request a different ball or finger hole size, as well as a different shoe size. An attendant will serve their request.

  6. Handicap/kiddie ball ramps will be removed from lanes and secured in a separate room. Guests may use the lane service buttons to request a ramp.

Cleaning & Sanitation:

  1. Outside of bowling shoe will be sprayed with disinfectant and thoroughly wiped, including contact points on the heel of the shoe. Disinfected shoes will be taken to bowling desk where deodorizer will be sprayed into the shoes.

  2. A damp cloth sprayed with disinfectant will be used to thoroughly wipe down ball surfaces and inside finger holes. Provided tube brush will be sprayed with disinfectant and used in extra small finger holes.

  3. Ball returns will be sprayed with disinfectant and thoroughly wiped from end to end. Plastic cover will be draped over balls/ball return once complete.

  4. Coffee tables and lane seating will be sprayed with disinfectant and thoroughly wiped (including lane service button).

  5. Sync pedestals and tablets and will be sprayed with disinfectant and thoroughly wiped.

  6. Managers and/or leads MUST review and approve sanitation and cleanliness before issuing lane to new groups.

Cibolo and Palladium Arcades

In addition to our current operating procedures:

  • Player positions on the games have been spaced out in compliance with physical distancing requirements
  • Hand sanitizer is made available throughout the arcade
  • Gloves are available for guest use, optional
  • Team members will be frequently cleaning and disinfecting regularly touched surfaces in the arcade
  • There is a clear and defined entry and exit to the arcade


For the Redemption counter:

  • Guests must adhere to distancing requirements, “Be Smart” stickers placed on floor near Redemption counter
  • Redemption items will not be handed to guests until receiving confirmation of finalized items.  After confirmation is received team members will bag items and hand to guest.  Once items leave the counter it cannot be returned.  Items that are deemed defective or damaged will be replaced with a new item

Laser Tag (Cibolo)

Laser Tag Process

  1. Laser Tag Briefing/Arena

    1. Briefing room door will be propped open during entry process

    2. Attendant will remind everyone to remain socially distanced during the session

    3. The attendant will ask players to remove the vest closest to them from the rack and put them on

    4. Only one group at a time will be allowed in the briefing room.

Cleaning & Sanitation

  1. Interior and exterior of vest, phaser and phaser cord will be thoroughly wiped down and disinfected.

  2. Vest rack for vest that is being cleaned will be wiped down and disinfected.

  3. Arena will be completely sanitized using disinfectant machine each night as part of closing duties.

Hologate (Cibolo)

Hologate Play Field

  1. Attendant will place VR headset on each player and tighten as necessary, handing controller to player after headset has been secured

  2. At the conclusion of the game attendant will go to each player and collect the controllers and remove headsets

  3. Attendant will ask waiting guests to be patient while they clean and disinfect the equipment for next session

Cleaning & Sanitation

  1. All touch points of the face and ears on the VR headset should be thoroughly wiped down and disinfected.

  2. The physical controller and plastic shell the controller sits in should be thoroughly wiped down and disinfected.

We are encouraging guests to purchase tickets on our app or website, however, select kiosks in our theaters are open for purchase. Palladium kiosks are closed, but the box office windows are open. You can also purchase on Fandango.

We are currently only accepting cash for gift cards with exact change.

All 2019 passes will expire December 31st 2020.
