I am interested in renting an auditorium, what is the process?

  • Complete and submit the Theatre Rental Request Form.
  • A Special Event Coordinator will e-mail you a proposal within 2 business days.
  • Request changes to proposal or accept proposal by signing the proposal and returning it to the Special Events Coordinator.
  • A signed proposal confirms you on the Event Calendar up until one week prior to your event.
  • Payment is due one week prior to your event and is required to guarantee your event.
How is the price of my rental determined?
Theatre rental pricing is determined by theatre location, film selected, length of time the film has been in theatres, day, time and number of guests. Pricing guidelines are listed on our website for informational purposes only and change/alter by event based on theatre location, film, day, time and number of guests. Pricing quoted on proposals is exclusive to the event that the proposal was prepared.

How do I pay for my theatre rental?
Payment for theatre rentals is due one week prior to the event. Payment is made through the home office, not at the theatre. Corporate checks, money orders and credit cards are accepted forms of payment. At this time we are not equipped to accept PO’s or cash. There is no down payment required for theatre rentals; a signed proposal reserves your space on our event calendar up until one week prior to the event, when payment is due.

Can I see the auditorium and test the equipment prior to my event?
Absolutely! Your Special Event Coordinator would be happy to meet you onsite to conduct a site walk and go over the logistics of your event.

What if I need to cancel my rental?
Your rental can be cancelled at any time, for any reason up until one week prior to your event. With a 48 hour notice, an event can be rescheduled, but not refunded.

Can I provide food and beverages for my guests?
We offer full service catering at our Palladium IMAX, Bijou at Crossroads, Rialto Cinema Bar & Grill and Houston Silverado IMAX theatres. Traditional movie fare is available at all of our theatres; some concessions are available at a discount. No outside food or drink is permitted. Click here to see our catering menu.

Can I host a red carpet event?
Definitely, we can even provide the red carpet for $150.00.

Where will the catering be served for my event?
Catering can be served in your auditorium or in another area. The Bijou at Crossroads and the Rialto Cinema Bar and Grill offer in theatre dining; every other row of seats was replaced with countertop tables. The Palladium IMAX, Silverado San Antonio Theatre, Rialto Cinema Bar and Grill, Bijou at Crossroads, Mayan Palace and Houston Silverado IMAX all offer alternative places to eat restaurant style, rental of this space is $100.00 per hour.
